PROJECT OVERVIEW

A kitchen remodel in a client-occupied spanish ranch-style home — working from analog floor plans dating to 1971 and a 1990s remodel, both digitized and field-verified before any design work began. The project required translating decades-old hand-drafted documents into a precise SketchUp model, then using that model as the foundation for space planning, cabinetry design, and client visualization.

Four layout options were developed and presented — Option A through C as distinct spatial approaches, followed by Option D as a client-directed synthesis of the preferred elements from each. Option D was documented in full: overhead plan views, scene views from multiple angles, a floor plan, and six elevations covering all four walls.
